he brand Naushemian, and its founder Nauman Arfeen, have become one of the leading names in the Pakistan fashion industry for menswear. Ranging from exclusively designed sherwani’s to top of the line royal turbans, their groomwear packages are very much appreciated by one and all. With dramatic music in its background, Naushemian’s catwalk collection had a very gothic feeling to it. The colour black was seen in abundance – in the colour of the sherwani’s, in the turbans and even in the models’ make up. What impressed us the most in the collection were the funky and vivaciously designed turbans. Be it the hat with the circular tubing, the military styled hat, the over sized beret or fez, all were highly deserving of the audience’s appreciation and applause. Dhoti pants, also seen in India Men’s Week recently, made a brief appearnace and so did a new style of even baggier men’s trousers, which will surely catch on in the coming wedding seasons.
